Southwest Medical University recently launched the “Yingmi” smart Automatic tour guide, which will be fully implemented in campus visitor reception. This marks another innovative breakthrough for the university in visitor reception, leveraging technology to optimize the service experience and promote the professionalization and intelligence of visitor reception.
The automatic tour guide system supports real-time switching between eight languages, including Chinese, English, and Japanese, precisely meeting the cross-cultural communication needs of international visitors. According to the head of the university’s Information Technology Center, the guide supports multiple tour groups operating simultaneously without interfering with each other. The system can also meet the needs of various scenarios, such as school history exhibitions, scientific research achievement presentations, and clinical teaching observations.
Notably, the Yingmi automatic tour guide system sensing function is well-suited to the unique campus environment. For example, when visitors enter the Traditional Chinese Medicine exhibition area, the device automatically triggers the corresponding explanation using a high-precision positioning chip, creating an immersive experience that “starts when the sound enters and stops when the sound leaves,” without the need for manual operation.
As a leading brand in China’s intelligent tour guide field, Yingmi’s products are widely used in high-end business receptions for companies such as Huawei and adidas. This collaboration with Southwest Medical University marks the first large-scale implementation of this technology in a university, providing an innovative model for smart services in the education industry.
